We did one year anniversary photos for this adorable couple around the Broadway area here in Saskatoon. I wanted to do an evening session, and they obliged. I'm so glad they did. They were naturals in front of the camera:). Here are just a few fav's from our session! Saskatoon is so beautiful, It's so fun to utilize it in the summer months.
Saskatoon photography locations
We started off this adorable family session at the our Saskatoon photography studio and ended it on a different day at one of my favorite Saskatoon parks, in our old neighborhood! It was a gorgeous spring day and I love that the pond still had ice on it. The ducks were out, the baby was happy and it ended up being the perfect mix of images for them to choose from. Here are just a few fav's from our session!
Models from our mentorship program in Saskatoon.
Last month we had this awesome couple come to model for our mentorship class here in Saskatoon! I know it's not always easy to be in front of one camera, let alone 4! Needless to say, this couple nailed their session!!! HUGE thank you to them for being so patient while I taught our 4 students how to pose, and how to get natural reactions out of our clients. We already have a list for next years mentorship program! If you wish to be on it, don't hesitate to let us know!
Generations session at our Saskatoon photo studio
We just love this generations session we did at our Saskatoon photo studio this spring! This whole crew was so stylish and so photogenic! They have all be in front of my camera at one point or another. It was so great to get them in front of it again! Aren't they gorgeous?!
My heart is a puddle - Saskatoon photographers
I really feel so fortunate for our families to open their doors and let me capture some of their most precious moments. This is a perfect example of how we photograph a newborn baby, specifically when there are siblings as well. We come right into your home and make the session very family orientated. We get some great shots of the family together, of the siblings together, of the siblings alone, then focus a bit more on the baby. Families are so important to capture with newborns for their first photoshoot, and I think we get that, as we have a little family of our own.
I traveled all the day to Battleford, Saskatchewan for this families newborn session. I feel so lucky to have such dedicated clients, that even when they move to a different, they still call me! I think these images really speak for themselves... so here they are. A king, a queen, a prince and the newest little princess. Seriously melt my heart...
A tiny little sweetie - Saskatoon photographers
I photographed this little boys parents wedding a while back. Fast forward half a decade and I got an email saying they were expecting their first baby! Of course I was so thrilled for them!! Their little boy arrived happy and healthy weighing as much as his mom when she was born, just 5lbs 14oz. After photographing a 9lb-er just a week before I couldn't get over how tiny he was! At just 6 days new, he was awake for most of his session, but as happy as a clam, so we rolled with it. By the end of the session he fell asleep so we ended up getting some cute sleepy shots too. I loved seeing their maternity prints framed in his nursery, so of course, we had to get a couple of shots including them too. Here is the tiniest little peanut who has ever graced my camera.

Urban Ballerina - Saskatoon photographers
As promised here are some of the gorgeous images we got of these beautiful ballerinas. I photographed this stunner a little longer than the others as a thank you for organizing the whole session as well as a little added bonus for being family. I still can't get over how much she has grown up. With her grace and beauty, you can't take your eyes off of her.
A gorgeous Saskatoon acreage DIY wedding
This wedding was one I had been anticipating all summer. It was a bit different than any other wedding we had previously photographed, and a bit more special for me as it was on the same day as my wedding anniversary. It consisted of a morning ceremony, 6 hours of formals (complete with an outfit change), a backyard acreage reception under big beautiful tents, family style East Indian supper, and to top it all off, Fireworks. All of which were a first for me! The entire wedding was completely DIY, and it was so simply stunning!
6 hours of formals seems like a lot of time for formals, but I could have shot these two for another full day! They were so natural in front of the camera, and as you can tell from the images, they are extremely photogenic. I felt very fortunate our paths had crossed and to have shared so many firsts with them.
Here is a very small selection to tell their wedding day story...
