Being a wedding photographer here in Saskatoon, we see so many different venues, flowers, hair, make up, etc. We know that brides are always looking for recommendations for vendors here in Saskatoon, so we thought we would compile a list of all of our favorites! While, there are many great vendors in this city in each category, we are only recommending the ones that we have had experience with and absolutely loved them! We aren't getting paid by anyone we mention, we are just truly in love with these businesses, so why not share our love? If you are looking to work with some fantastic Saskatoon wedding vendors, check out some of our favorites!
The first thing you typically book is your venue. There are so many beautiful venues in and around Saskatoon, however our favorite has the best view in Saskatoon. The top of the Inn at the Sheraton Cavalier.
Exquisite bridal boutique here in Saskatoon is our favorite dress shop. We have heard nothing but incredible things from our brides who purchased their dress from them. Their service is excellent.
Jewelry is like the icing on the cake! Our favorite jewelry vendor is Simply Posh Jewelry rental. Not only is her one-of-a-kind jewels incredibly gorgeous, 100% of her profits goes to charity. I've met Lori, the owner, and she has an incredible story. Her need to give back to the community is so inspiring. You can check out her webpage HERE. This bride is wearing a few of the gems below.
Flowers! Our favorite bouquet designers are Blossoms. Their style is so big and vibrant and fun. Every one of their bouquets has been so incredibly gorgeous! If you are more of a DIY-er, check out Mistik Acres. They own a flower farm north of Saskatoon where they sell wholesale to flower shops around Saskatoon. They also sell flowers directly to brides, for those of you who have a knack for designing bouquets and centerpieces. Skip Costco and support local. They typically have flowers available June-September (until the first frost), however the best selection is typically in August. You can take a peek at their website HERE.
Living Skies Limousine is our favorite limo company. They are punctual, efficient, and friendly. They have been fantastic to work with in the past, and their limo's are beautiful! They also have the Limo Bus for all your party needs.
There are so many great salons who do beautiful wedding hair, but we love Ethos Salon Spa. Their salon is friendly and inviting and looks great in photos. Their staff is so friendly and accommodating, and most importantly, their stylists do beautiful wedding hair and they can accommodate large wedding parties.
Make up is so important to get professionally done for your wedding day. Good make up artists know how to apply make up that not only looks great in person, but photographs great as well. Plus, it's so nice to get all pampered for your big day. If I could afford it, I would get my makeup done every day! I love it that much. We have a couple of favorite Make up artists in Saskatoon. Kendal Kayter does great work and if you book your photography with us, you will get rewarded with an amazing discount with her. Check out her website HERE.
Lisa Hallam is also wonderful if you can snag her. I know she books up quick, so booking early is ideal.
Bridal boudoir is a perfect gift for your man for your wedding day. A bride is typically in the best shape of her life right around the big day, so getting boudoir photos done for your hubby-to-be is a no-brainer. Your man will absolutely love it! We typically don't photograph boudoir anymore, so my recommendation for the best boudoir photographer in Saskatoon is Joi Photography. She has a beautiful studio dedicated solely to boudoir with a salon and dressing room right on site. She also has a ton of props, shoes and even lingerie you can borrow for your session. Check out her site to view her portfolio. You will be blown away!
Lastly, photography for your wedding day. There are so many talented photographers in Saskatoon, how do you pick? First and foremost, you must love their work! Check out their website, and if you like what you see, contact them! Secondly, do you like them as a person? Check out their bio on their site. Would you want to hang out with this person all day? Does their personality jive with you? Do they have experience? Is that important to you? If so, contact them and arrange a meeting. Are they good with communication? Does it take them weeks, or months to get back to you? This could be a red flag. But give them a call just in case your emails are hitting their junk email. This happens often! Lastly are your photographers able to fit within your photography budget? If not, and you really want them, are you willing to rearrange the budget, perhaps spend less on the dress, less on the décor, less on booze? If so, you have found your photographer! While we would be so happy to photograph your day, we realize that our style may not be what you are looking for! We love beautiful, romantic images and we LOVE to have fun on your big day! If you are looking for a photographer who makes sure you will have fun on your wedding day and who has a clean retouching style, contact us to set up a meeting! We would love to hear from you!
Well Saskatoon brides (and grooms), These are all of our favorite Saskatoon vendors! I hope this was helpful. Wishing you all the best for your big day and happy wedding planning!
