This is my friend Dani... she is the photographer over at Danielle Stasiuk Photography and Pink Sugar boudoir. Her work is killer! The other night we went out to take some photos of each other. It was a lot of fun! She made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera and gave me a ton of direction, which I love! Tonight Danielle, of Danielle Stasiuk Photography, and I went out in the city to capture each other. We both agreed that we needed some new head-shots. While this one isn't a head-shot, I love how this one turned out!!!! So bad ass! Danielle specializes in weddings and boudoir!!! Well I got some bad news the other day... our super, wonderful, Canadian, frame company is closing its doors. My house is full of these frames, and now I will no longer be able to add to my collection. Total bummer... I know! Oh Maui, how I've missed you!
My sister in law lives in Calgary and last fall while we were there visiting, she asked me if I could do some photos of one of her dance students as a gift to her mom. After chatting a lot about what we had envisioned for the session, we decided on going with an urban ballerina theme. I love how the session turned out! With the mix of the pretty tutu and point shoes along with the grungy setting of downtown Calgary. This stunning young lady is so extremely talented and did incredible for her session. We had her dance instructor (my sister in law) along to do most of the posing, and she nailed it! I was so impressed by how strong and flexible she was and how she doesn't look cold, considering it was right around 0 degrees out that day. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to capture these images.
